- August 2007 Pelorus trip report by Sky & Matt:

As a young couple from the Riverland in South Australia, we were delighted to be invited to spend a long weekend camping, snorkelling and exploring on Pelorus Island. With little experience as first time divers, we were amazed at the coral and sea life that surrounded us, just a few short steps from the beach. Our first dive was an experience to remember, never have we seen such colour and diversity of coral and fish. We were also lucky enough to spot a Humpback whale, which swam within just a few short metres of our boat (we were told that this is a once in a lifetime event not seen by many people!). The boat ride over and back was enjoyable, and being able to camp so close to nature was relaxing and peaceful. We would also like to take this opportunity to thank the Diving Club for sharing the Pelorus Island experience with us, and encourage others who are looking for a relaxing, friendly, and fun packed get away, to call the Diving Club and book in!
